Hannah Wahnee Obituary

Hannah Kay Wahnee was born Saturday, October 17, 1987, in Okemah to Tommy G. and Alicia K. (Grimmett) Wahnee and passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Okemah at thirty four years of age.
Hannah attended Morris High School and attended college at Northeastern State University, most recently working towards her Master's Degree while teaching English at Hanna Public Schools. She enjoyed playing basketball and being with her friends and family. She also enjoyed keeping the books for the basketball teams.
Hannah was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Harvey and Jura Yocham; paternal grandmother, Patsy Wahnee ;and uncle, Robin Wahnee.
Survivors include her parents, Tommy and Alicia Wahnee; brother Kyle Wahnee and wife Shelly; brother Tyler Wahnee and wife Emily; maternal grandparents Charles and Kay Grimmett; special nieces and nephews, Alyson Conner, Charilee K. Wahnee and Kaceton Wahnee. Aunts and Uncles, Eddie Grimmett, Phil and Ruby Booker, Sheri Wahnee, Steven and Lisa Wahnee, David and JoNell Grimmett, and many more loved ones.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Ward officiating. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, January 31st from 2 - 7 p.m. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee.
