Howard Myers Obituary

HOWARD "MOOSE" MYERS, 64 of Summersville, went to his heavenly home on February 9, 2024, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Estil and Ellen Mullens Myers and was born at Charleston on July 26, 1959, and raised in Bomont, W.Va.
Howard worked in construction, the gas and oil field for Cabot and was a Pentecostal by faith. He was a generous man who loved his family and would tell his children anytime you're in trouble or need help, call Dad and I'll fix it. He was always the first to help those in need, including stray animals by buying extra food to feed them. Howard had such an infectious sense of humor with a laugh that came deep down from his soul.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by Sister Gayle Myers and Brother Aaron Samuel Myers.
Surviving: wife: Betty Williams Myers Summersville; daughter: Tiffany Myers Clay; sons: Josh (Ellie) Myers, Wisconsin, and Justin (Misti) Myers, Clay; stepdaughter: Pam (Gus) Gutierrez, Utah: grandchildren: Zach, Taylor, Matt and Trenton; step grandson Michael; four sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law. Under the direction of The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville and in keeping with his wishes Howard was cremated. Condolences: www.watersfuneralchapel.com.

Moose was my first cousin. My dad was Paul, Estils brother. I moved away and lost track of all my family. He was the oldest of all us kids and I always thought he was so cool. Most of our family is gone now. Prayers for his family.
