Spencer Shirley Obituary

Spencer Cole Shirley, age 19, of Gordo, AL died June 15, 2025 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. Memorial services will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tim McCool officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church. There will be a memory box at the service for family and friends to leave photos and letters of memories of Spencer. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Danny Mullenix. Survivors include his parents, Darby and Brandy Mullenix Shirley; two sisters, Sescily Shirley and Kinsley Shirley; grandparents, Davis and Linda Shirley and Sandra Fife-Johnson (Jim); step-grandmother, Rayma Mullenix; aunts and uncles, Chan and Sharon Mullenix, Tiffany Knight, Byron and Tammy Shirley and Darron and Jennifer Shirley and cousins, Brayson Mullenix (Leah), Rett Mullenix (Madison), Harper Knight, Chris Shirley, Katie Hardeman (Justin), Matt Shirley, Amanda Shirley and Savannah Johnston (Jared). Spencer was born January 12, 2006 in Northport, Alabama. He was a member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church and an employee of Moss Auto Supply in Gordo. Pallbearers will be Matt Shirley, Chris Shirley, Brayson Mullenix, Rett Mullenix, Will Sellers, Rod Lanier, Brock Duffy, Hayden Pate, Jacob Trawick and Casen McCrackin. Honorary Pallbearers are employees of Moss Auto Supply, Gordo High School Class of 2024 and all of his many friends.
