Josephine Graham Obituary

Josephine Graham, 73, of New Albany, MS, transitioned on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Diversicare of Tupelo, MS. Josephine Johnson Graham was born to the late Asalee Johnson and the late Reverend Tom Crockrell on February 25, 1952, in Holly Springs, MS. She professed her love for Jesus Christ at a young age. She was a member of The Sanctuary, New Albany, MS. Josephine was united to the late Milton Graham in holy matrimony on November 15, 1969. Their union was blessed with four children. Josephine was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world peacefully on June 20, 2025. Josephine was educated in the Holly Springs school system. She began employment with Irwin B. Schwabe (The Shirt Factory) with her final employment being with Huddle House Restaurant. She enjoyed many years of retirement. She was an active member of the Zesty Zeniors group of New Albany, MS. She enjoyed studying the Bible, fellowshipping with both her church family and the Zesty Zeniors, traveling, and word search puzzles. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter: Carolyn Ann (Sylvester), three sons: Jerry, Carl (Latesha), and Kevin, one sister, Pearl Crum and one brother, Willie Crockett, six grandchildren Nicholas Graham, Sr., Carrie Graham, Carl Graham, Jr., Christina Graham, Keonta Graham, and Efrem Divale Moore, Jr., three great grandchildren; Nicholas Graham, Jr., Harper Graham, and Callie Zinn and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Asalee Johnson and Reverend Tom Crockrell, her loving husband: Milton Graham; siblings: Sarah Whitlock, Houston Parker, Vera Parker, Asalee Johnson-Glover, Velton Johnson, Mollie Mae Johnson, and twins Earline and Gerline Johnson. Trust in the LORD, and do good; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgement as the noonday. Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at The Sanctuary, 960 Highway 15 North, New Albany, MS 38652. Burial will take place at Gerizum Cemetery, Myrtle, MS.
