Susan, the daughter of John and Ardis (Thousand) Hiles, was born in Madison on April 24, 1957.
She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1975. Susan worked in Medical Records at Care Wisconsin for many years.
She is survived by her best friend and soulmate, Mark Swenson; and his family: his daughter, Heather (Robert) LaFrance and their daughter, Olivia, and his daughter, Melissa (Benjamin) Chvojicek and their children: Robert, Andrew, Gracelynn, and Lillianne, all of Baraboo; her brother, Steven (Susan) Hiles, Montello; her sister, Barbara Hiles, Madison; and her nephew, Jon Hiles, IN. Sue greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed traveling with Mark, visiting Sheboygan for the weekend, attending Brewer's games, and the family's yearly trip to the State Fair were some of Sue's favorite trips. Sue and Mark also enjoyed cooking and grilling out together, grilling out even in the midst of winter. Sue was well known for her delicious desserts and elaborate appetizers. A favorite pastime for Sue was to play a few rounds of Uno at every family get together, which she almost always won!
Sue's kindness and thoughtfulness made her a wonderful friend, companion, and grandmother; she will be greatly missed.
