Susan Carroll Obituary

Susan R. "Sue" Carroll, 75, of Simsbury, loving wife of Edmund W. Carroll, Jr., died at Meadowbrook of Granby on Monday, May 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with a malignant glioma. She was the daughter of Vincent and Theresa (Hickey) Rossitto of Newington. After graduating from Newington High School Sue earned her degree in education at CCSC and went on to become the education director at the Children's Museum in West Hartford. She is also survived by her sons, Brian of Connecticut, and Brett (Elizabeth) of Southington, as well as grandchildren, Meghan and Jackson. Sue's sister Joan Rossitto of Tucson, in addition to many nieces and nephews, will mourn her loss. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, doing crossword puzzles and solving Sudoku matrices. Also decorating the house for different holidays and seasons brought her great pleasure. Boating was also something Sue looked forward to doing. Her greatest pleasure and joy came from watching Meghan and Jackson's sporting events and competitions. Sue's family will receive guests on Friday May 9th from 4-7PM at Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, CT 06035. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 10th at Carmon's beginning at 12PM. The family will also receive guests from 11AM - 12PM on Saturday.
