Lynne Lombardi Obituary

Lynne Lombardi, from Meriden, Connecticut, passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loved ones, she left behind a legacy of love and compassion. Lynne is survived by her best friend, husband, and soulmate, Bernie Bucholz; her cherished son, Michael, his significant other, Danielle, and her son Jeffrey; her stepson, Joe, and his wife, Kristina; her stepdaughter Nicole; her loving sisters, Sharon and Susan; her nieces, Shannon, Theresa, and Jessica; her precious grandchildren, Kayla, Bernard, Ruby, Stephen, and Cody; her devoted four-legged companion, Ozzy; and her lifelong friends, Deni and Patti. Lynne's parents, Eva (Steele) and Thomas Lombardi, preceded her in death. Lynne worked throughout her life in a variety of professions, most significantly as a pharmacy technician at Gaylord Hospital, where she found immense pride in her work and cherished the friendships she made there. Beyond her professional life, Lynne had a wide range of interests. Exploring areas of New England, finding the perfect restaurant, attending important events for her grandchildren, and casino trips with her friends. However, biking with Bernie was a favorite pastime, particularly enjoying the thrill of riding an electric bike uphill. Lynne's heart was incredibly generous, and she was always there for her family and friends. She also dedicated herself to fundraising causes, making a positive impact on many lives. Above all, Lynne's love for her family and friends was truly remarkable. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Brooklawn Funeral Home, 511 Brook Street, Rocky Hill, CT on Saturday May 31, 2025. Visiting Hours are from 12-2 pm. I retired from Gaylord a few years ago but remember how much Lynne loved her dog Ozzy. She once told us this incredible story about how Ozzie would play with his `girlfriend" neighbor dog in the back yard and then walk her back home! My condolences to Bernie, Ozzie and all of her loved ones and friends be they human or animal. May she be at peace.
