Matthew David O'Hara (Age 68)

On May 20, 2022, of Silver Spring, MD, Matthew died surrounded by family following a brief illness. Born in Denver, Colorado May 10, 1954, he was a graduate of George Washington High School in Denver, and the University of Colorado Boulder. He was a fixture in the Washington restaurant community through his work at Chadwick's. Son of the late Bartholomew and Elizabeth Ryan O'Hara; brother of Bartley O'Hara (Judy), Kearin Angel (Richard), Clare Muller (the late Paul), and the late Daniel (surviving spouse Kathy Armstrong), Thomas, Halley, and Bridget O'Hara; uncle of Elizabeth O'Hara Lazo (T.R.), Mary Ryan Newkirk (Matthew), and the late Bart O'Hara; great uncle of Bartley, Peter and Elizabeth Newkirk. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Washington, DC, on Thursday, June 16 at 11 a.m.
