I remember Carol was always the life of the party! (Gary Shifflet). Carol was always a wonderful grandmother and a joy to be around with her warm, vivacious personality. (Sherry Shifflet). I first met Carol at Griffin's baptism and have enjoyed knowing her every since that day. (Kay Braddock)

I was a neighbor of Carol's when she lived on Vixen St. at FoxHall. She and I would walk our dogs together. This is when she had Stoli. My sister Mary and I would also meet up with Carol when we went to Ocean City in Januarys for a week. Carol was a very loving person, and she will be missed greatly. Our sympathy to all her family and friends, especially, Jeff.

Jeff introduced me to Carol at our mother’s funeral in the 80s. Now it’s Carol we are laying to rest. Such a loss. Funny, generous, upbeat, kind. A woman with a loving family and many deep friendships. Pete and I will miss you terribly, Carol. Rest In Peace.

I have been a friend of Jeff Smith and his sister and family since school days. I met Carol only once and could see that she was a caring soul with a sense of humor and family . All I ever heard were good things about Carol and her children and their kids.
May she Rest In Peace and know that her vibrant life touched on many, some that she only met once .

I cannot imagine a birthday or holiday without receiving warm wishes and "oodles of love" from Carol. She always cared deeply what was going on with family, and shared her infectious laugh, smile and kisses with all. Truly a warm, loving person who I will greatly miss talking to. Love to Adam, Julie, Jeff, Bud (Lisi) and all her grands!

Carol was the best kind of person, warm, friendly and always happy. I loved our time walking our precious puppies together on Edgerwater Avenue. Her warm kindness and love of life will be missed tremendously. God bless you Carol and take care of all our dogs that have already crossed the Rainbow to heaven with you.

My memory of Carol was of a very warm person. As the retired General Manager of Ruth's Chris Steak House in Berlin you could not have had a nicer guest. A beautiful person with a beautiful heart. Always gracious to all. Basil J Hanlon

To know Carol, was to love Carol! I was blessed to have had her in my life and will keep her in my heart always. I loved the photo tribute and she so enjoyed her life. I met her at DHHS working together and after she moved to OC, I enjoyed running into her and just laughing--loved her laugh! She was pure joy! My sympathies to Julie and Adam and the entire family and so many friends.
