Francis "Frank" A. Buffo III

Thetford Center, VT - Beloved husband and father, Frank Buffo departed this world February 2, 2024, at 66 years old.

Frank was born in Baltimore, MD to Jerri Lou (Hamilton) and Francis A. Buffo, Jr., and was sibling to Deborah LeBlanc, Julia Buffo and Keith Buffo. The family live in Horsham, PA then Westford, MA where he graduated from Westford Academy in 1976. He went on to earn an associate degree in nursing, a bachelor degree in mental health and human services, as well as two masters degrees in counseling and rehabilitation, graduating summa cum laude three times.

In 1983, Frank moved to Vermont where he built his home of over 40 years. He worked as a nurse in various clinical settings, was a full-time foster parent to hard-to-place children, stay-at-home dad to his biological daughter Mara, and was a business owner.

People were the center of Frank's life. He valued his family and friends immensely. He was kind and friendly to everyone, but had a special knack connecting with those who needed a friend most. Well known for his passion for animals, Frank was a fixture in wildlife rehab and falconry communities.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife Katty Buffo of Thetford Center, VT; their son Jorge and his daughters Sarah "Peach" Blouin; Mara Dupuis and her husband Geraurd of VA; Maria Buffo and her son Malachi of NC; Alexandra Buffo-Valerio and her husband Pedro; and his friend and former spouse Maureen Rimlinger of VT.

Visiting hours will be 4-7pm February 14th at Ricker Funeral Home, 56 School St., Lebanon, NH. A funeral service will be held 10am February 15th at Trinity Baptist Church, 428 N. Main St., West Lebanon, NH. Graveside services will be 11am February 16th at Fairview Cemetery, N. Main St., Westford, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frank's name may be made to VINS Nature Center in Quechee, VT.
