Jim was a Singles coffee buddy of mine for many years. He was always there earlier than 7am to make the coffee while many of us were around to help him clean up.
I enjoyed Jim because his conversations were always insightful. He was a member of the Mensa Society, those bright people we mortal people yearned to be. I always tried to be at the top of my game when I was visiting with him, but every once in a while, I would say something that was not quite right, or not quite smart enough. He would raise an eyebrow and look at me, and I knew. I really knew that I was not that smart.
But his questioning eyebrow made me rethink what I was saying. I would say, "I don´t think I´ve got that quite right. Jim, can you help me out?" And he did.
He did not make me feel bad when he helped me out, and I always learned what I should´ve been saying.
What a gentleman. I will remember him always as a great friend.

Jim was a witty, intelligent, warm, giving, friendly member of the FunNSun Singles community. He gave hours of volunteer work supporting the activities of that group every week. The morning coffee and Saturday breakfast groups will miss him much.
