Sandra Goodchild Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Goodchild was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the age of 75, surrounded by loved ones.

Sandy was born on August 9, 1948 in Derry, NH, a daughter of the late Leo and Priscilla (Low) Pelletier. She was a resident of Danbury, NH since 2013, originally from Derry, NH. Sandy graduated Pinkerton Academy class of 1966. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an administrative assistant for Hanover Insurance in Bedford, NH.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alan Goodchild of Danbury, NH; two daughters, Staci Riley of Winter Garden, FL, and Erin Singelais and her husband Kevin of Raymond, NH; four grandkids, Keegan and Coen Riley, and Kaelyn and Evie Singelais; two sisters, Jane Graham and her husband David of Lisbon, NH, and Linda Greenwood and her husband Gary of Dalton, NH; one brother, James Pelletier and his wife Lynda of Candia, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sandy had an uncanny ability to strike up a conversation with all around her. Her cheerful personality and warm smile was contagious to anyone she met. As an avid quilter, Sandy was a member of Amoskeag Quilters Guild, Nature's Quilt, and Dragonfly Quilters. On any given weekend, you could find her in her sewing room, reading, or spending time in the kitchen baking goodies for family and friends. Sandy also loved spending time with her grandkids as they were the center of her universe. Her memory will live on forever through everyone she has touched.

A memorial service has been planned for Friday, February 9th at 4:00pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium located at 15 Birch Street in Derry, NH, with calling hours to follow until 6:30pm.
