Kenneth Wright Obituary

Kenneth Wright

September 19, 1948 - July 5, 2024

Meridian, Idaho - On July 5, 2024, Kenneth Edward Wright went to heaven after watching fireworks with his wife Terri, by his side. He was born in Portland, Oregon on September 19, 1948, to Robert and Marion Clymer Wright and grew up in Beaverton. He graduated from Oregon State University and spent most of his life in the auto business. In his early years, he worked for Chrysler Motors where he met the love of his life, Teresa Sakelaris. They were married on July 2, 1982.

Ken & Terri lived in the Tacoma area for many years and most recently divided their time between Apache Junction, Arizona, Meridian, Idaho and Rockaway Beach, Oregon.

Ken loved cars, boating and dogs. He loved to play pickleball and generously taught others to play. He was an avid car collector and spent time showing his favorites at car shows. Ken was a lifetime member of the Tacoma Yacht Club and he and Terri spent many years on the Puget Sound on their boat, the Teresa Maria Too.

Ken was known for his kindness, generosity and compassion.

Ken is survived by his wife, Terri, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cathy & Tom Rowe, and sister Kathy Thorne and her family.

Ken's happy place was Rockaway Beach where he is at peace with God on the Oregon Coast.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
