Orlando, Florida - JoAnne Johnson (Lilly) passed away on March 17, 2024, at 56, in Orlando, Florida. She was born on August 23, 1967, in Parkland, Washington. JoAnne was a loving mother to Scott (wife Faraluz) Johnson and Sydney (husband Hoel) Johnson and a cherished sister to Carolyn Lilly-Seck, Donna Lilly, Sharon Wise, Jacqueline Lilly, and Barbara Lilly. She is also survived by a granddaughter, a large extended family, and her beloved dog, Gizmo. JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, Martha S. and Donald J. Lilly. JoAnne attended both Washington and Spanaway Lake High Schools. She was a proud veteran, having served in the US Army for 4 years. After her military service, she dedicated her career to the US government. She was known for her culinary skills, which she shared generously with her family and friends. JoAnne was a woman of faith, had a great sense of humor, and, with her warm personality, touched the lives of many. JoAnne's legacy of love, laughter, and good food will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will be forever in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
The family is having a Celebration of Life for JoAnne on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Frederickson Community Center at Cross Park, 4420 Military Rd E., Tacoma, WA 98446, from 2-5 p.m. Condolences can be sent to B. Lilly, 20513 10th Ave Ct E #30, Spanaway, WA 98387.

I will truly miss Joanne. She was such a smart and passionate woman. She was a great friend and served her country in the military as well as a Government employee. I loved working with Joanne years ago at Kaman and always appreciated her attention to detail and willingness to partner to meet our mission. I had some amazing, and very meaningful conversations with her last year before Christmas and am so sad that she isn´t here to continue our talks. I know you are happy in heaven, Joanne.
