Sharon L. Golobish, 70, of Rillton, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, Feb. 22, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 1, 1954, in McKeesport, daughter of the late Metro 'Mitch' and Julia (Klus) Kytchak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Detar. Sharon was a graduate of the Yough Class of 72 and Citizens General School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. Prior to her retirement, she was an RN, having worked at McKeesport Hospital for 44 years. She was currently working for Bayada Pediatrics, taking care of her grandson. She loved traveling with her family, bus tours, cruising, and collecting trinkets at every stop. She was a member of the Hilltop United Methodist Church and was a current trustee. She was also a member of the Yough Helping Hands Foundation. Sharon enjoyed quilting with her friends and was a member of the Norwin Quilters. She also made many cross-stitch gifts over the years. She loved her Mama Kitty. Sharon is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 47 years, Rudolph (Rudy) Golobish Jr.; daughter, Heather (Mark) Boettner of Rillton; and son, Ryan Golobish of Greensburg; special grandson, Bryan Boettner, whom she adored; brother, Larry Kytchak of North Huntingdon; and brother-in-law, Anthony Detar of Rillton; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank Bridges Hospice for all their love and compassionate care given to Sharon. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and patients she took care of over the years. Sharon will forever be remembered for her kind heart, gentleness, and selflessness. She truly was an 'Angel on Earth,' always helping others. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at the JOSEPH W.
