Pamela Leipertz Obituary

Pamela Marie (Szuch) Leipertz, 64, of New Bern, N.C., formerly of Arnold, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. She was born Oct. 10, 1957, in New Kensington, and a graduate of Valley High School. Pamela married the love of her life, Douglas Leipertz, on Aug. 8, 1980, making their home in Natrona Heights. Deeply in love and inseparable, they would actively seek out adventures. Over their 41 years of marriage, they enjoyed living near the beach, relocating to Marco Island, Fla., where Pamela enjoyed sailboat racing, placing first in a sailboat competition on Sanibel Island. They eventually moved to the Hawaiian island of Oahu, then a few years ago, made their home in New Bern, N.C. Pamela had a generous heart of gold. Traits that highlighted her personality were selflessness, generosity, kindness and her beautiful smile. She was compassionate as she was funny. She could find a silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation. She represented the good that we all need every day in our lives. Her spirit is one of one. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Leipertz; a son, Douglas Leipertz, to whom she was a loving and devoted mother; her mother, Delores Lee Szuch; three sisters, Deborah L. Fajbik (David), Michelle E. Szuch and Leslie R. Kunselman (Larry); a brother, James J Szuch Jr.; nieces, Aimee M. Seagriff (Shawn), Nathalie R. Fajbik (Fredie Eddy) and Angie Vantine; and nephews, Joshua Vantine(Latricia) and Nathan D. Fajbik. She was preceded in death by her father, James J. Szuch Sr. Honoring Pamela's wishes, all services were private in New Bern, N.C.
