Mark Smith Obituary

Mark Allen Smith, 62, of Rural Ridge, Indiana Township, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 16, 1960, in Pittsburgh, to the late Frank Howard and Joyce Cartwright Howard, of Springdale. He was a concrete finisher for Sacon Concrete out of Gibsonia and was a member of Indianola United Presbyterian Church. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Libby Jo" Kennedy Smith; a son, Mark Anthony Smith, of Indianola; a daughter, Sarah (Spencer) Boger Williams, of West Virginia; one granddaughter, Jesse Smith; two grandsons, Gage Smith and Connor Williams; and two brothers, Anthony (Tracy) Smith, of Cheswick, and Frank (Ginger) Howard, of New Kensington. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Howard. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
