Margaret Gift Obituary

Margaret Anne 'Maggie' Gift, 70, of Lower Burrell, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born Nov. 27, 1954, in Pittsburgh to the late Peter J. and Frances C. (Byrne) Mariuzza. Maggie lived most of her life in Lower Burrell and was an aide at Shadyside Hospital and the Children's Institute. She was of the Catholic faith and a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Shadyside. She also attended two years at Community College. Maggie enjoyed ceramics, reading, dancing, and especially enjoyed her cats. Survivors include her brother, Peter J. (Marlene) Mariuzza, of Penn Hills; nephew, Joseph (Laura) Mariuzza, of Cleveland, OH; and niece, Ashley Mariuzza, of Cleveland, OH. Also surviving is a stepson, Charles (Paulette) Gift, of Dayton, OH; step-granddaughter, Monica (Benjamin) Kessel; and her children, Mason and Luke; great-niece, Ella Mariuzza; and great-nephew, Nicholas Mariuzza; and many cousins and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Gift, in 2010; infant daughter, Aneda Joy Gift; and a brother, Joseph Mariuzza. Visitation, Tuesday, from 11 a.m., until the time of service at 1 p.m. in DUSTER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526.
