Dorothy Thompson Obituary

Dorothy E. Thompson, 91, of Sarver, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at the Allegheny Valley Hospital. Born Jan. 24, 1930, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Stormer and Alice Stormer. She worked as a farm wife for the Thompson Family Farm. She was a member of Center Methodist Church in Fawn Township. Dorothy loved cooking and baking, reading and doing word search puzzles, sitting with her cat in her recliner and sitting on her front porch enjoying the nice weather. She took great pride in cleaning the eggs from the farm before they sold. Surviving are her loving children, Donald Thompson, of Sarver, David K. Thompson, of Sarver, and Doris (Richard) Kirkner, of Kittanning; her grandchildren, Theresa (Tony) Marianna, of Sarver, Rebecca Kelly, of Sarver, and Angela (Douglas) McMillen, of Natrona Heights; step-grandchildren, Martin (Jen) Kondrick, of Sarver, and Sarah (Erik) Pierwsza, of Sarver; her great-grandchildren, Shelbi and Tyler Marianna, Dalton Kelly, Austin, Logan and Hunter McMillen; her great-great -granddaughter, Addison Drum; her step-great-grandchildren, Emily and Adam Kondrick and Autumn, Samantha and Allysia Pierwsza; and her brother, William Stormer, of Freeport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thompson, her grandson, Karl D. Thompson, her sister, Ethel Sexton, her daughter-in-law, Carol Thompson, and her brother-in-law, James Thompson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at the FOX FUNERAL HOME INC., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robin Swinsburg officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
