Dennis Cummings Obituary

Dennis Cummings, 71, of Natrona Heights, unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 31, 2024, while at home with family. Born April 28, 1953, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Leonard and Lydia Cummings. Denny was always a hardworking family man, tough and honest. He was an employee of 43rd Street Concrete for 44 years and had been retired since 2016. He enjoyed his canoe trips, hunting, time at camp, and spending time with loved ones. He spent 52 years with his loving wife, Marie Cummings, and has two sons, Shawn (Tracy) Cummings and Eric (Ashley) Cummings. Survived by his mother-in-law, Barbara Pleva; and preceded in death by his father-in-law, Anthony Pleva. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Marianne (Larry) Drane; and their daughter, Nicole (Chris) Bova; and their children; his sister, Hope Wetter; and brother, Robert Cummings; grandchildren, Jerrika, Julia, Jake, Colin, and Leah Cummings. He also had many nieces and nephews. He also has left behind friends as close as family. Jimmy (Helen) Gannon, Paul (Debbie) Koedel, Butch (Mary) Nelson from camp, and his good buddy Mike Klein. He will be loved and missed by many. In lieu of flowers, our family has asked for donations to Citizens Hose Ambulance Service (965 Burtner Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065; [email protected]), as they have been a crucial help with emergencies with his mother-in-law and other family members over the past few years. There will not be a public viewing, as his wishes were to have Marie home with family and visitors after his passing.
