Bruce Krasley

Bruce L. Krasley, 73, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Catharine L. (Pfromm) Krasley, with whom he shared nearly 54 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Claire H. (Weisbach) Krasley. He was a graduate of Parkland High School; Kutztown State College and he received his Masters Degree from East Stroudsburg University. Before retiring in 2006, he worked as a school administrator. He started his career as a teacher for the Jim Thorpe School District. Later, he was a high school principal for the Palmerton School District, and he finished his career as a principal at Catasauqua High School. He coached high school football in Jim Thorpe and the Blue Mountain areas for many years as well as being a referee.

Survivors: wife Cathy; daughters Stephanie L., wife of Richard Kaleycik of S. Whitehall, Elizabeth A. Krasley of Wilmington, DE, Alice L. Krasley of Columbus, OH; brother Douglas J. and his wife Jane of S. Whitehall; sister Sally, wife of Michael Dobil of Schnecksville; 2 grandchildren, Steven and Hannah Kaleycik; and sister in law Gretchen Krasley of Allentown. He was predeceased by a brother Michael R.

Memorial service: 12 p.m., Saturday, March 2 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling period will begin at 10 a.m.

Memorials can be considered in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association, c/o the funeral home, 18102.

Bruce was one of the "Cetronia boys" as a student at PHS. I graduated 1 year later. He was truly a heckuva nice guy.
