Justin Menichiello Obituary

What an unexpected wave of sadness as I read this obituary. I met Justin briefly toward the end of 2021....I sold him my beautiful boat and he was absolutely beside himself with happiness now that he could "get back on the water" and enjoy the lake. I communicated with him now and then, answering questions about the boat and asking him how he was enjoying the summer. Then, my texts were not answered, and now, sadly, I know why. He was a nice young man, so personable and enthusiastic about life. I wish I could have had the pleasure of getting to know him better.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

We had skied together numerous times at Squaw Mountain, and each time we were together, I learned something new from "the Master", and I will never forget Justin. Although we knew Justin for a few brief years, he was always a big help to us. Always responsive. Hard working and caring about everyone. He especially loved Kogi, his little bulldog. We will surely miss him.

I am proud to say Justin was my best friend. We experienced many of life's highs and lows together and there was never a doubt that he would be there if I ever needed him.

I always looked forward to our next adventure together and there is hole in my heart knowing that there will not be one. I am forever thankful for his friendship and hope he is at peace now, Ripping In Powder.

Justin became a great friend of mine when I moved to Tahoe City and he took the time to teach me how to ski at Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows. He shared his incredible knowledge from all of his experiences in the mountains and the great outdoors, where he loved to spend his time. Anyone who visits the west shore of Lake Tahoe will begin understand to what draws all of us to the lake and why he chose to call it his home.

I tried my best to keep up with Justin every day we were able to ski together and he truly was an inspiration to me. He taught me a lot about life and was passionate about everything that he did. Justin was a great friend to all of us in Tahoe and he will be missed so very much.
