I bread my female German Shepard, Mia, with his male German Shepherd, "Smoke."
I kept one females out of the 7 puppies. Steve said, he wanted a male, but that he didn't have to have 1st pick. I spoke with him after the puppies were born, and he came over when they were 7 weeks old. He told me that he couldn't take one, because his health had worsened. I felt bad, but I told him that I was ok with his decision.
So his dog Smoke, Is the father of my female German Shepherd, Cleopatra, (Cleo).
And she is an awesome dog.
Both of her parents are purebred, veteran, service dogs.
Mia, my German Shepherd,
(the mother Cleopatra) is a purebred "original" German Shepherd.
And Smoke is a purebred "short haired" German Shepherd.
I'm glad I got a chance to know Steve and his German Shepherd, "Smoke. "

Steve was always, to be sure, a friend that we got along great, even when we hadn't seen each other for years. That picture of him is perfect - I always laughed with him telling him that smile always looked like he knew something about me. I have nothing but laughter with you in remembering.

Steve was a guy with so much energy and drive. He had a great sense of humor and always made us laugh. He was always positive and upbeat...fun to be around! My sympathies to the family. No mother should ever have to bury her children, especially 2 of them. God give you comfort.
