Myra J. Seivert (nee Kugler)
Born: January 3, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA
Died: March 16, 2026 in Joliet, IL
Age 76, of New Lenox, IL passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, following a 6-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Myra was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late George and the late Marcella (nee Kleman) Kugler.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Leonard J. Seivert; three children: Natalie (Geoffrey) Cook, Kristen (Cody) Derossett, and Stephen (Stacey) Gaetano; four grandchildren: Jackson, Andrew, Lorelei and Anthony; and a sister Donna (Bernard) Zemen; two step children: Kenneth (Agnes) Seivert, and Jennifer (Kelly) Hall; eight step grandchildren: Alexandra, Kevin, Matthew, Victoria, Cameron, Brett, Reagan, and Paige.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Marcella (nee Kleman) Kugler and siblings Diana, Jack and Gerard, a stepson Scott Seivert, and a step granddaughter Jocelyn.
Myra was a self-employed home health caregiver for 35 years and will be missed by many people she has helped. She was a huge sports fan, especially of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as any sport her grandbabies played. Myra leaves many relatives and friends to cherish her memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Myra's name to Lightways Hospice & Serious Illness Care, Joliet, IL.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2 pm – 6 pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, March 23 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL.
