Cherished Aunt
Loyal Friend
With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Carol, our loving, kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched.
Carol passed peacefully on March 21, 2026 at the age of 74. Born on April 16, 1951 to Mickey and Harriett McDonald. Carol lived and was educated in the Channahon/Minooka area where she graduated High School in 1969. She married Milton (Juno) Eneix on April 20, 1974 and were blessed to celebrate 51 years of marriage together. During that time she was employed at AJE Credit Union. They were blessed with two children, Amber (Ed) Boyle and Shaun (Amanda) Eneix and her adoring grandchildren, Makenna, Logan and Shane Boyle and step grandson Seth Popovich. Also surviving are her four sisters, Beckey (Don) Montgomery, Marlene (Greg) Schaefer, Michealene (Tom) Miller, Maurene (Jim) Schumacher and sisters-in-law, Betty Coates and Donna Pace. Carol will also be deeply missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma to her precious grandchildren, who brought her so much pride and joy. She will forever be their biggest supporter. Being the farm girl that she was she also enjoyed tending to her well manicured yard and always beautiful flower beds. She always had room for more flowers, especially if there were the color yellow. Carol was a devout Catholic with a strong faith, and a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka. For many years she enjoyed sharing Saturday evening Mass with her mother, Harriett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mickey and Harriett, her brother, Pat and brother-in-law John Brown.
The Eneix Family would like to thank Carol's caregiver, Wendy, who gave her excellent care during her stay at home. Also Lightways Hospice Care in Joliet, for providing compassion and support during Carol's final months. We would also like to thank those who have kept our Mom in their prayers and the kindness they have shown throughout these years.
Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 S. Ford Rd, Channahon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Minooka. Please meet directly at Church on Thursday. A private burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations be offered to Lightways Hospice Care, Joliet.
Carol was the heart and soul of our family and with her passing she took pieces of our hearts with her. In return she left with us her love and special memories to fill the void. We may have lost and angel here on Earth, but Heaven most surely has gained one more.
