I knew Ginny from her days at SBHS where I was a former teacher coach. The tribute yesterday to Ginny was beautiful and deserved. Reflecting on her forty years as a Nurse in the ICU, I saw her as someone chosen by God in 1958 to go down to earth and assist those in need of the compassion, understanding, care and sincerity in her desire and efforts to improve the lives of those who came under her care.I saw Ginny as being blessed as one who would take the task from Our Father's message in scripture for us to follow, the message being "What so ever you do for the least of my brethren you do unto me" and fulfill that message. As the Mass and tributes went on yesterday from the large numbers in attendance, it was easy to see Our Heavenly Father greeting Ginny at the gates of Heaven and embracing her with the warm greeting of "Well done my faithful servant Ginny' and opening the gates for her to meet once again all of those on earth who benefited from her efforts to ease their pain and burdens by Ginny being there for them with no questions asked just total commitment to recovery. Those of us who knew Ginny, we still feel the pain of her loss, try and think of her with this thought, if you were to receive a text, email or phone call from her today, at some point in time you could expect to hear her philosophy of how she lived her life to reassure you "Love Wins!" Ginny. Thank you for brightening our lives. Rest In Peace. Mr. Demars

To the Facchini and Olsen families... My deepest condolences in learning of the loss of Ginny I have fond childhood memories of time spent at the Facchini household on Lloyd Road with all of the "kids". In later years Ginny and I crossed paths occasionally at the L&M when I would be doing an ambulance run Ginny's outstanding nursing skills and compassion for her patients was well known!
A beautiful soul taken much too soon. I hope great memories of her will give you all some sense of comfort in this difficult time.

As a fellow nurse working intermittently with Ginny over the past 37 years, I can truly say L&M will not be the same without her. Such an enormous loss for our whole community.
I will always remember her welcoming support and guidance when I was called back to ICU during Covid. Her ability to stay calm and never loose sight of her patients and her coworkers emotional needs, was one of her many amazing qualities. I hope you are enjoying the retirement of a lifetime, in peace and harmony!
Fondly, Heather Fillion

A smile that lit up every room she walked into. A soul that was always kind and loving. A vocation and dedication to nursing. A heart so big it could not be contained. A beautiful graceful woman who made everyone around her feel loved. A mentor for all others in her field. There are not enough accolades to explain Ginny. To know her was to love her. She will be missed.
