Patricia Rand Obituary

Old Lyme - Patricia A. Rand, 75, of Old Lyme died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, with her family by her side. Mrs. Rand was born May 22, 1946, in New London, the daughter of Edward and Edith (O'Connor) Roberts and later married Nelson Rand Sr. She was employed for many years as a mail carrier for the USPS in Old Saybrook.

After retiring, Pat enjoyed taking their motorhome down to Texas, and spending time with their friends. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time outside in her garden. She would talk to anyone, anywhere, and was the foundation of the family.

Mrs. Rand is survived by her loving husband Nelson; sons, Timothy and Nelson Rand and their wives Charlene and Lisa Rand; along with her grandchildren, Elizabeth Stankiewicz and husband Jason, Zachary, Tyler, Jeremy and Jake Rand. She also leaves behind her great-grandson Sebastian Stankiewicz, whom she adored more than anything. Patricia leaves behind many more family members and friends and will be missed more than anything.

To honor Mrs. Rand's wishes, no services will be held. Please visit www.fultontherouxoldlyme.com to offer condolences or leave a tribute.
