Gordon Kear Obituary

Gordon D. Kear, Age 87 of DuBois, PA, died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on July 3. 1935 in Weedville, PA, he was the son of the late LeRoy and Beatrice (Fox) Kear.

He was married to Vera (Shaffer) Kear. She preceded him in death, He then married Janice C. (Gontero) Kear. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2022.

Gordon worked his entire career in the coal industry.

He enjoyed Camping and was an avid Penn State fan.

Gordon is survived by four children (Dale Kear & his wife Mitzi of DuBois, PA; Deborah Hepburn & her husband Jack of DuBois, PA; Renee Bojalad & her husband James of Reynoldsville, PA; and Gina Barefield of DuBois, PA), one brother (Chester Kear of DuBois, PA), ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Gordon was preceded in death by his son (Gregory Kear) two sisters (Betty Anderson & Eva Bates), and three brothers (Louis, Burton, & Donald Kear).

There will be a no public visitation and a private service will be held.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor's choice.

The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
