Janet Standridge Obituary

Janet Lee Standridge, 65 of Antlers, passed from this life on May 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on October 21, 1956 in Durant to Leon and Louise Pilkington. Janet married Donald Standridge on April 10, 1992 in Mead. She was a straight-forward person, which made her a perfect fit for her job with the Department of Corrections. Janet was a talented homemaker who above all else loved spending time with her family and creating gifts for her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, taking care of her pets Freckles and Sparkles, and any wildlife. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and loved ones. Janet is preceded in death by her parents: Leon and Louise Pilkington; brothers: Roger and Michael Pilkington; and sons: Matthew Standridge and Donald "Duck" Standridge, Jr. She is survived by her husband: Donald Standridge of the home; children: Michael Brandon Bell and wife Sara of Antlers, and Roseanna Sorrells and husband Reno of Antlers; brother: Don Pilkington of Gilmer, TX; sister: Judy Hicks of Parker, TX; grandchildren: Donna Collins, Dyllynn Bell, Ty Bell and wife Courtney, Kristen Sorrells, Hannah Sorrells, Legend Bell, Isaac Sorrells, Journey Bell, and Adventure Bell; and great-grandchildren: William, Gunner, Macie, and Harper. Private family services were held. Services have been entrusted with Serenity Cremations of Antlers, Oklahoma.
