Rustin Tyrone Obituary

Tyrone, Lance Cpl. Rustin Lee U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rustin Lee Tyrone, 23, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Honolulu. He was a member of the 3rd Marine Combat Assault Company and was stationed at the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. His job was to drive and maintain his amphibious assault vehicle. He had just recently returned from Thailand, where he worked at an orphanage to help with Tsunami relief. He was an expert marksman and was a coach on the rifle range. He was a resident of Prairieville and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting was at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April 29, and after 8 a.m. Saturday, April 30, until religious service at noon, conducted by Pastor Stephen Springer. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery, Prairieville. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Cyrex Tyrone, Prairieville; son, Brayden Tyrone, Prairieville; father and stepmother, Henry and Pamela Tyrone, Head of Island; mother and stepfather, Debra Kay Hancock Cambre and Gerald Cambre, Prairieville; brother, Brandon Tyrone, Head of Island; stepbrother, Brandon Dufrene, Maurepas,; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Smith, Prairieville; paternal grandmother, Joyce Hebert, Gonzales; maternal grandfather, Vernon Hancock, Mount Vernon, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Cyrex and Carley Magette, both of Prairieville; brother-in-law, Kerry McBride, Prairieville; mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Linda and David Ritter, Prairieville; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law, Gary Cyrex and Pat Hardy, Prairieville; four aunts, Angela Eiseman, Melinda and spouse Eric Morris, Donna Deaton and Janice and spouse Barry Thomas; and an uncle, Michael and spouse Stacey Smith. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Billy Wayne Tyrone; uncle, Gary Wayne Hancock; and maternal stepgrandfather, Joseph Brady Smith Jr. Pallbearers will be members of the U.S. Marine Corps. Honorary pallbearers are Casey Laiche, Matthew Stout, Jeff Simoneaux, Kris Sequin, Paul Carroll and Michael Smith.
