Josephine Fuss Obituary

Josephine "Jo" Fuss April 19, 1927-January 13, 2024 Josephine "Jo" Fuss 96 of Torrington, WY died January 13th, 2024, at Banner Health Hospital in Torrington with family by her side. Cremation has taken and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made by viewing Jo's memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Bridgman Family Funeral Home in Scottsbluff is entrusted with arrangements. She was born April 19, 1927 in Hawk Springs, Wyoming to Brad & Carrie (Stevens) Vance. Jo attended and graduated from Hawk Springs Schools in 1946. Jo married Albert Dave Fuss on October 5th, 1947, in Torrington, Wyoming. After starting farming in Torrington, they moved to the Sunflower Community in Mitchell, Nebraska where they raised their two sons and had a successful farming operation. After retiring from the farm, they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Jo worked in the Cheyenne School System Central Cafeteria for 25 years. She took pride in having a large garden and yard. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and made sure every family member had one. She enjoyed doing puzzles. She especially loved her membership in the Moose Lodge-Jo organized many events and dances and could be found at the lodge most evenings and weekends. She was a member of the United Church of Christ. In 2022, she moved to Torrington, WY to reside at Evergreen Plaza until her passing. She is survived by her son David (Debra) Fuss of Morrill, NE; grandchildren Chad (Sabrina) Fuss of Tuttle, OK, Shawn (Trinity) Fuss of Mitchell, NE, Heather (John) Blair of Jamestown, TN, Adrian (Sarah) Fuss of Kimball, NE, Michelle (Ben) Jackson of Mitchell, NE; great grandchildren Joshua Fuss, Kaylee James, Elizabeth Fuss, Makayla Jackson, Trevor Fuss, Steven Blair, Brody Fuss, Brayden Fuss, Maleah Jackson, Addison Jackson, Megan Fuss, and Samantha Fuss; sisters Betty Kelly of Torrington, WY, Corrine Marienthal of Cheyenne, WY; brothers Allen Vance of Scottsbluff, NE, Dwight Vance of Mitchell, NE and Victor Vance of Oxnard, CA. Many nieces and nephew (with a special thank you to her niece Melodee Marienthal). She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; her parents Brad and Carrie; son Jerry Fuss; daughter-in-law Drinda Fuss; sisters Opal, Leona, Merry; and brothers Bill and Cecil.
