Scott AAKRE Obituary

A few days prior to his unexpected passing, Scott P. Aakre (age 65) made his final pilgrimage to several Spokane-area gambling establishments. A long-time slot machine and sports betting enthusiast, Scott was a 1977 graduate of Gonzaga Prep and a former member of the Washington State National Guard. Employed for many years by the City of Spokane Parks Department and heavily involved the metal recycling industry, he also considered himself "the world's oldest nonsectarian rapper" and was known by several aliases, such as "Elton Eastwood" and "Scotty MaZerratti." His idea of a perfect evening was watching ESPN with an oversized hash pipe, a six pack of Blue Moon, a bag of Milky Way miniature candy bars, and an eight-team parlay sportsbook wager (175-1 odds) that included Notre Dame and the Seattle Seahawks. Scott is survived by three brothers, Dave Ayres, Joe Holland, and Mark Aakre; and one sister, Angie Allard. Donations in his name may be made to either of the Native American casinos located in Airway Heights.

I'm in NJ and was searching for a friend name when Scott's obituary popped up. I've never met him but wish I did. He enjoyed his life his way -and probably continues to do the same up there in heaven.
Great Obituary!! Sorry for your loss.
Sincerely, Tina K.
