David Wierzbic Obituary
May 3, 1982 - July 18, 2022
David Mark Wierzbic, 40, of Roanoke, Va., died suddenly on July 18, 2022.
David is survived by his parents, Theodore and Sandra Wierzbic; his siblings, Jennifer (Lyle) Weaver, Michael (Marie) Wierzbic, Andrew (Kim) Wierzbic, Rebecca Wood, and Sandy Marie (James) Hunt; along with nieces and nephews, Theodore, Charlie, Alexander, Moss, Genevieve, and Hayes.
Along with the profound sadness felt by all who loved him, there are many memories of David's generosity of spirit and radiant smile. David graduated from Roanoke Catholic School in 2000 where he excelled in academics and sports, and was a leading scorer in Timesland Soccer. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Roanoke College.
Dave was an exceptional horseshoe and ping pong player and he loved to play at gatherings with family and friends. His quick wit and intelligence made family Trivial Pursuit games all the more fun. David was a wonderful and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. His family and his many friends will miss him and love him always.
David's life was profoundly changed when he was diagnosed with complex medical issues following his freshman year at Virginia Tech. The family wants to thank Dr. Bonnie Culkin for her many years of providing David's medical care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Angels of Assisi.

I work at one of the buildings David took care of. He was always so kind, courteous and helpful and I never heard him complain about the mountain of work he continued to work on. He always did a great job and I always enjoyed seeing him and getting to talk with him for a few minutes. He was a wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss.

Teddy and Sandy, I am so sorry for your loss. May the happy memories of David help you through these difficult times.
