Virginia Boone Obituary

Virginia L. (Albright) Boone, 81, of Exeter Township, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Barry Boone, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Catherine (Matz) Albright. Virginia graduated from Exeter High School and Albright College. She attended Albright for 2 years, followed by 1 year at St. Joseph's Hospital where she did clinical work for her certification as a medical technologist. Virginia was a member of Schwarzwald U.C.C., where was on the board for the church's preschool, and very active in other church activities. She was also a member of Phi Beta Mu Sorority at Albright College. Virginia and Barry planned countless class reunions for many years for their graduating class from Exeter High School. She was a part of the class of 1958, that wrote Exeter's Alma Mater. Virginia worked as a medical technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital, Quality Control Medical Labs, and at the former Keystone-Miller Blood Bank. In addition to her husband, Virginia is survived by her children; Jill, wife of Jay Schaeffer, of Stevens, PA, Lisa, widow of Gary Bogacki, of Fleetwood, and Maureen, wife of John McGurk, of Springfield, PA (Delaware County). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Megan, Joel, Matthew, Erin, Joshua, Carlyne, and Keenan. Family was what was most important in Ginny’s life. She could always be found holding a grand baby, taking kids shopping, going out and about with the love of her life, or taking care of her beloved puppies and grand puppies. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Schwarzwald U.C.C. 75 Church Lane Reading, PA 19606. Dear Lisa and Family:

I am so sorry for your loss. When I first met Mrs. Boone I immediately felt her welcoming warmth and kindness. I feel lucky to have shared a few hours with her chatting. I hope all the wonderful memories you have ease your pain even if just a little. Keeping all of you in my thoughts. Sending my love.
