Corey Lackey Obituary
Corey (C-Fresh) as he was affectionally known, like his late father was recognized for his sharp and unique fashion sense. He attended Horace Mann High School. Corey went on to receive further schooling in the trade of barbering at Lil Lou's Barber College. As a natural born entrepreneur he became the owner of Lackeys Barbershop on October 21, 2016. He also started YE'KCAL Shoe Company where he customized his very own shoe line. He became a licensed barber April 15, 2022. He continued cutting hair, owning, operating and managing his businesses while starting February 28, 2022 in Janitorial services with Leadec Industrial Services until his earthly departure. Corey is proceeded in death by his grandparents Robert and Minnie Smith, Barbara Jean Mosley father, Theodore Lackey, and aunt, Lathreasia Smith Tarver. He leaves to cherish his mother Joann James four brothers Ricky (Joy) James Denzell Lackey, Taiwan Lackey and Andre Lackey. Three sisters Keisha Jessica and Erica Lackey. Two sons Coreyon (Shana) Lackey and Kantrell (Jerrica) Lackey. Special friend, Keisha Crawford. All Services Thursday July 28,2022 Wake 9:30a.m. Funeral 11:00a.m. at True Light International Ministries 1257 Cline Ave Griffith, IN. Burial Professional Services Rendered by Powell Coleman Funeral Home.
