Robert Brown Obituary

Robert F. Brown age 80 of Norfolk, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2024.

Known as Bobby growing up and later settling in to Bob, he was born October 13, 1943, to Woodrow W. and Esther M. "Marie" Brown. He grew up in Spooner, Wisconsin, and graduated from Spooner High School in 1961. Shortly after his 18th birthday, he enlisted in the Marine Corps rising to the rank of Lance Corporal. After his discharge from the Marine Corps, he lived the rest of his life in the vicinity of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA. His life was changed forever by the birth of his granddaughter, Samantha Carlson, in 1993. He made many life changes to be sure he would be around as long as possible to see to her care and well-being. In 2009, Bob met his soul companion, Pattie, and they were wed in 2016. He spent the last few years of his life loving her and their dog, Blu.

Bob is survived by his wife Pattie, sister MaryLou (Arnold) Hoecherl, brothers Woodrow (Sharon) Brown, Michael (Maria) Brown and David Brown. Also surviving are his children, Woodrow C. Brown, Robert "Travis" Evans and Angela (Edward) Augsburger plus many nieces and nephews, as well as grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Patsy (Charles) Gagnon, sons Robert F. Brown Jr. and Jonathan A. Evans.

There will not be a funeral service at this time, but his family in Virginia will be planning a Memorial get together sometime this summer.
