Marissa Moffis Obituary

Marissa Mae Moffis, beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend, passed away on Jul. 2nd 2022 from an ATV accident during a weekend trip with friends and family in the caribou hills at the age of 14. Marissa was born on February 15th, 2008 in Soldotna, Alaska to Jeremiah Moffis and Rose Carew. She had two sisters, Caitlyn and Sierra, and a brother Kazan. She loved animals, sports, of which her favorite was gymnastics, and all things outdoors. Often times she could be found riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers around with her family and friends. In the last few years, she began to focus and excel in gymnastics. Her dream was growing up to be a Neurosurgeon and help people in need, build a house, get married, have children of her own and adopt a child as well. She is survived by her father Jeremiah, mother Rose, sisters Caitlyn and Sierra, brother Kazan, great-grandparents Geral, Linvel, Laurel, and Joy, grandparents Joann, Bob, Mary, and Theresa, uncles Ron, Shane, Matthew, Austin, Casey, Jeff and Dan, aunts Melissa, Nicole, Stephanie, Alycia, and Emily, along with 13 cousins. She is now in peace at home with the Lord, and will live in our hearts and memories forever. The service will be held in Kenai at Our Lady of The Angels Catholic Church on Friday Jul. 15th at 2:00 PM.
