Larry Pannell Obituary

February 21, 2022 our husband (hun) daddy, dad, daddio, papa, and Mongo passed away surrounded by his family at the young age of 65.
Larry was known for his gruff, matter of fact attitude that made people love him or hate him. He always told his kids that he doesn't have the money to help but he knows the people.
He was the one of the hardest working men we knew who was unbelievable with his hand coordination and feather like fingers from running heavy equipment, to pickin on his guitar to doing IT work to taking a joy ride on his Harley on a beautiful sunny day. There was something about him on a bike that gave him great joy.
Larry was born in Mesa Arizona and adopted by John and Dorris Pannell. He later met and married Jacqueline Clyde in the Fall of 1977 at Sundance in Provo Canyon Utah. Larry worked with heavy equipment in Utah before the family moved to Soldotna Alaska in 1987 where he continued to work heavy equipment.
Larry then found a new niche in life when he obtained his GED and then later accepted the challenge and received his associates degree and changed career paths into the IT field/civil construction where he worked until his untimely death.
Larry truly loved his wife, his family, his music, his Harley and a good time poking at the fire. He will be deeply missed.
Larry is survived by his wife Jacqueline, mother in law Colleen Kennedy, Children, Brandi (Derek) Urban, Nathan Pannell, Lindsay (Eli) Coray, grandchildren Jarrett (Shae), Jace, & Braxton Urban, Snowy & Sylus Pannell, Alexus, Keegan & McKenzie Coray as well as Great granddaughter Bexley Urban.
Larry was preceded in death by his Parents, brother Alan Pannell, father in law Mickey Clyde, and nephew Jason Clyde.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family kindly requests In Lieu of flowers that donations be made to Wells Fargo in care of Larry PANNELL Donation to offset medical expenses.
