Kevin Williams Obituary

Kevin Earl. Williams, 58, of Cabot, Arkansas/Nikiski, Alaska, lost his battle with many serious health conditions on January 27, 2022. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and wonderful sense of humor. Up until the end of
his life he continued to make jokes and carry on with a great attitude and fearlessness that is nothing short of admirable!
Kevin was born on September 9, 1963, to Robert Williams and Marilyn Williams in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated high school in Loveland, Colorado and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he majored in horticulture and was in the Army ROTC program.
Kevin moved to Alaska in 1982 with his parents and brothers and began an adventure that would last until 2018 when he moved to Arkansas to retire. While living in Alaska he worked for the Carr's grocery store in Kenai, Alaska, which later became Safeway. He had many hobbies and interests but the most pronounced were his love of reading and collecting books of all different kinds and his genuine mission of helping other people whether he knew them or not. Kevin was the type of person that would give a stranger his last gallon of gas or the shirt off his back.
He was selfless and spent countless hours helping other people fix their cars or plowing snow late at night for neighbors and acquaintances. People who knew him would attest that he was always there when someone was in need. If there was one thing Kevin was, that was a friend to anyone that he met.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Marilyn Williams; his brothers Kirk Williams and Michael Williams; his uncle Vernon Wielard; his aunt Susan Van Wyk; his nephew and nieces Lance Williams, Ashlyn Edelman, Syrena Buck, and Eryka Lambert; his great-nieces and nephews Preston Smith, Claire Buck, Briggs Williams, Evelyn Buck, and Derek Lambert.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Chester Williams and Vivian Williams, Frank Wielard and Grace Wielard, his father Robert Williams, his aunt Linda McGinley and uncle Jack McGinley, his uncle Roger Van Wyk, and his nephew David Williams.
Kevin is now at peace, joining his family and friends that have passed on and in the presence of God and Jesus Christ!
He will be interred in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella, Iowa near close family and relatives.

Kevin was such a wonderful guy. He worked for years with my brother at Safeway in Kenai. Everyone liked Kevin. He was quick with a smile and he was always so nice to anyone he ever met. It is rare these days to find such a good and nice person like Kevin. He was a kind soul and he will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Kevin was a really nice guy. I was his barber for many years when I was living in Kenai. We had a lot of good conversation and laughs.
