Phyllis "Pam" (Morden) Ritchie
Phyllis "Pam" Agatha Belle (Morden) Ritchie, 75, of Lansing, MI., passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side after a long battle with lung cancer on May 26th, 2022.
Born August 28, 1946 in Highland Park, MI., she grew up in Midland, MI., after graduating from Midland H.S. '64., she attended the Mercy school of Nursing St. Lawrence unit, class of '68 and earned her nursing degree, then worked at St. Lawrence hospital for nearly 30 years in Labor and Delivery.
Pam, a single working mother raised 2 boys, and enriched their lives through camping, sports and how to spot a good deal at rummage sales, thrift stores or cutting out coupons or box tops.
She loved her tomato plants, flowers, ice cream, heart shaped anything and Angels. She had many Angels and was always willing to share them with others, but what she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Scott Ritchie, of Bellevue, WA., Steven Ritchie, of Lansing, MI., sister Sandra (Jess) Dunham, of Ft. Myers, FL., brothers David (Jean) Morden, of Florence, KY., Dennis (Jan) Morden, of Midland, MI., and Richard Morden, of Federal Way, WA. and 4 Grandson's Steven, Kyle, Vance and Jase Ritchie along with many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Morden; mothers Mildred '46 and Betty Morden '20; and sister-in-law, Fe Morden.
Please join us in a celebration of life ceremony, Monday July 18th, 2022 1p-3pm at Community of Christ, 1415 W Miller Rd. Lansing, MI.
