It's March 31 and I thought of Annette. For so many years I have been trying to get in touch. I remember Annette as a brown haired, brown eyed little girl across the street, walking to kindergarten together, riding the bus to St. Alfred's together, posing for communion photos together, sleepovers at Annette's house, going to her grandmother's for mushroom soup, going to Taylor basketball games together, sleeping over at her uncle's cottage in Lake St. Clair, Annette giving me a lift to work. I'll never forget her. And today is her birthday.
