Brien Fredric Hildebrand
March 8, 1952 - April 10, 2022
Brien passed away peacefully from natural causes at his Beaverton home April 10, 2022, at the age of 70.
Brien was born in San Francisco March 8, 1952, to Berniece and Carver Hildebrand. Shortly after his birth, Brien and his family moved to the Portland area. He attended Beaverton Public Schools and was an outstanding football player at Beaverton High. Brien attended the University of Oregon where he earned his B.A. in 1975 and his J.D. in 1983.
After law school, Brien clerked for Oregon Circuit Court Judge John Jelderks in The Dalles. Upon his return to Beaverton, Brien joined the law firm of Moomaw Miller & Reel. Soon the firm was renamed Moomaw Miller & Hildebrand. (The firm is now Moomaw Mesirow & Godfrey.) Brien retired from the firm earlier this year. Well known in the Beaverton community over his near 40-year practice, Brien specialized in real property, wills and estates, and general business law.
Brien was an avid Oregon Ducks fan, enjoyed finding interesting sites across the country to visit, and relished a round of golf with his friends and colleagues. He loved spending time with his family, especially along the Oregon Coast and in Central Oregon.
Brien is survived by his daughter, Brynn Hildebrand of Beaverton; and his sons, Brent of Missoula, Mont., and Kenny and daughter-in-law, Lynsey Forshee of Beaverton; his sister, Krista Hildebrand and brother-in-law, John Marshall of Portland, and his brother, Bruce and sister-in-law, Janett of Costa Mesa, Calif.; his nephew, Stephen of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Cormac, Carver, and Lilly.
