Roberto O. Acosta

Roberto O. Acosta, age 70, a resident of Schererville, IN, is now joining his father, Roberto P. Acosta in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Josefina; daughter, Araceli; sons, Eric Daniel and Roberto C. Acosta. Roberto was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to his surviving mom, Consuelo Acosta; and was the oldest brother of Juan Arturo (Laura) Acosta, Jose Luis (Maria Elena) Acosta, Alicia (Oscar) Pulido and Mary (Tom) Miksich. He had numerous nephews and nieces.

Roberto grew up in East Chicago and graduated from Washington High School. He was employed at Cleveland Cliffs (Harbour Indiana) throughout his whole life.

A visitation will be held at Burns Funeral Home and Crematory, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN, on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Roberto's memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends and all who had the honor of meeting him. His legacy of being kindhearted, generous and unforgettable will live on forever.
