Margaret Jennings passed away in her sleep Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, two weeks short of her 99th birthday, at the home of her daughter, Janet.
Margaret graduated from New London High School in 1942. She left Ohio to work in an aircraft factory in Alameda, California, as did many women during World War II. It was there she met her husband, Lin Jennings, who had just completed a tour of duty in the Soloman Islands in U.S. Navy. They married and moved back to Ohio and raised five children, Janet Marschall of Jacksonville, Florida, Gale Jennings of San Diego, California, Pat Meyer of Murphy, North Carolina, JoAnn Gribben, and LouAnn Husted of Jacksonville, Florida. She retired and moved to Orange Park, Florida in 1990.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lin Jennings; and parents, Clarence and Florence Robbins of Hartland.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery.
