Sandra Jackson Obituary

Sandra Ricard Jackson passed away on February 8, 2024, at 76 years of age in Houston, Texas. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sandra was the daughter of the late Eurick and Philomena Ricard of Vacherie, Louisiana. She graduated from Xavier University Preparatory School and Dillard University of New Orleans, Louisiana, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Before retirement, Sandra was a Supervisor with the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Protective Services. Sandra will be affectionately remembered for her immense love of family and friends. Sandra adored cooking, classic movies, telling family stories, looking at old family pictures and attending the theater. Sandra is survived by her beloved daughter, Jennifer Jackson, her grandsons, Nicholas Jackson Lee and Jackson Dooley, her sisters, Angela Ricard DeArmas, Marcia Ricard, Erica King, and her niece, Fern DeArmas. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Eurick and Philomena Ricard, and sister, Fern Ricard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass which will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at St. Phillip Catholic Church, 1175 LA-18, Vacherie, LA 70090, (225) 265-4085. Visitation is at the church from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Internment in St. Phillip Church Cemetery, Vacherie, LA.
