Paulette Franklin Obituary

Family I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the Faith. On December 23, 2023, the one we knew and loved stepped across the threshold that we call "death", but it was only a step in a room of her father's house. Paulette Franklin, age 60 entered eternal rest surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Paulette, also known as "Lettuce" was born on August 31, 1963 to the union of the late Foley Sims and Marion Benjamin Williams. Paulette was raised in New Orleans where she later attended George Washington Carver High School and was truly a welcoming person to anyone who encountered her. She then met her husband Edward Franklin of 27 years and had three amazing children. Paulette was employed at Akilli for 9 years in janitorial services. She also served in ministry at Beulah Baptist Church as well as New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church. Paulette was a woman of many things, a mother, wife, friend, but most importantly a God-fearing woman. She was known for her infectious smile, and you could always count on her for a laugh as she was truly a comedian. If you knew Paulette, then you knew how much she loved going to the casino every day and bingo every week. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents Foley Sims and Marion Benjamin Williams, one brother, Henry Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Keyoka (Daron), Ebony (Gerald), and Emanie, eight grandchildren; Joseph, Raynard Jr, Ryleigh, Deven Jr, Daron Jr, Bryan, Bryce, and Mia, four sisters; Daphine, Patricia, Deborah, and Cheryl, four brothers; Robert (Laverne), Rodney (Jessie), Felton, and Milton. She also leaves her best friends Wanda and Joan and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, December 30, 2023, for 10:00 a.m. at Beulah Land B. C., 2921 Fourth Street, New Orleans, LA.
