Malcolm Taylor Obituary

Malcolm Guy 'Head' Taylor spiritually transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal home on the morning of Thursday, June 16, 2022 in New Orleans, LA surrounded by his Loving Family. Malcolm was a native of New Orleans, LA and was born to the union of the late Mary Margaret James Taylor and the late Melvin Alfonse Taylor, Sr. on September 16, 1949. He was educated in the New Orleans Public School System and upon completion, enlisted in the United States Army. While serving, he fought proudly and valiantly in the Vietnam War. Following his discharge from the military, Malcolm was employed as a Chief Cook with various offshore companies, lastly Trinity OffShore Catering Services.'Head' leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Janie Mae Taylor, of Houma, LA; a daughter D'Comanique T. "Bubbles" Reed, of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Atron Thomas, of New Orleans, LA; Giselle Gray (Robert) of Raceland, LA; two brothers Reginald Taylor (Sarah), and Norman Taylor (Angela) of New Orleans, LA; Brothers, the late Robert Taylor, Sr. And the late Alfred Louis Taylor, 2 Sisters, the late Paula Dawn Taylor and the late Theonita Tillman. A Devoted Friend Darlinda "Tootie" Mack, of New Orleans, LA; Stepdaughters Valarie Saulsbury, of Gray, LA; Caulette Scott, of Houma, LA and the late Paula Scott of Houma, LA. One Aunt Fredia Lacey (Murray) of New Orleans, LA; Four Grandchildren of Dallas, TX and 12 Step Grandchildren of Houma, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. All are Welcome to attend the Homegoing Services on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Road Houma, LA 70360. Viewing begins at 8 am followed by 10am service time.
