Kathy Lee Smith Miller was born on February 20, 1957, to the late Arthur Milton Smith and Anna Marziale in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Kathy is survived and forever loved by her husband Jonathan 'Scoop' Miller, her children, Heather Lee Miller and Joshua Miller, and granddaughters, Lucy and Zoe Miller, who lovingly called her 'MawMaw'. Kathy is the sister of, Debbie S. Cooper (late Fred, Jr.), Scott, Terry, and Tracy Smith, and the late Art Smith, Jr. She is also survived by aunts and uncles from the Smith family, in-laws of the Miller Family, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Kathy cherished Thanksgiving with the Marziale family and Christmas gatherings with the Marziale and Miller families. She held fond memories close in her heart and always enjoyed seeing their latest pictures and videos, which put a smile on her face. Kathy had a kind and generous spirit, always giving to family and friends, and especially giving presents to all the children at Christmas. A few of her favorite things were her daughter's artwork, and her collection of fancy dishes and tea sets, and especially found comfort in wearing her velour jackets. She enjoyed home décor, watching the latest fashions, and her husband's and son's cooking from the grill to gourmet meals, which she always said was better than the restaurants. She found simple enjoyment in running errands, and great enjoyment vacationing each summer at the beach with her son and granddaughters. Her spiritual time praying with the ladies at Bible study, and praise and worship at church filled her heart and soul with peace and the love of God. Kathy graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School, New Orleans, then began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Whitney Bank, and 20 years at the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, where she found great purpose being able to have a career serving the Lord. Kathy had a grateful heart for her loving and caring family, friends, and caretakers, who visited and spent countless hours comforting her by phone throughout her illness. She always expressed sincere thankfulness for all the prayers. The family is truly appreciative. May God bless you all. Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Celebration Church, 2001 Airline Highway, Metairie, LA, followed by a Christian Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA (formerly All Faiths).
