David Cornell Wright, Sr., age 64, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, March 28, 2022. He was a native and a resident of New Orleans, LA. David served in the US Army and was employed as a Trucker. Father of David Cornell Wright, Jr., Dillion P. Wright, and Rasheed Ford. Grandfather of the late Dillan L. Burton. Son of the late Fred and Gladys Wright. Brother of Rosalyn White, and the late Eddy M. Landry. Uncle of Lawrence Landry, III, Tyrone Landry, Lelia Simmons, Elizabeth Williams, and the late Darryl Simmons and Rochelle White. Nephew of Joyce Anderson and the late William Anderson, Eugene Anderson, Jr., Dora Nelson, and Lavada Anderson. Godfather of Shauna Anderson. Cousin of Kim Johnson, whom he loved as a sister, and the late Eugene Anderson, Jr. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers of Memphis, TN. David is also survived by 4 sisters who grew up in Memphis, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
