Anne Shanahan Obituary

Shanahan - Anne (July 15, 1935 - February 21, 2022). Wife of the late John A.

Shanahan; mother to Maureen,

Kevin, Jamie, Eileen, Kathleen,

Deirdre, Kerry, and Sean; grandmother of 17; and great-grandmother of two. Graduating valedictorian of her class, Anne worked as an RN at St. Francis Hospital for ten years. She helped many and moved on to corporate nursing, finishing her career at Marsh McClennan at the age of 78. In her youth, Anne ran track, then later in life coached hundreds. A dedicated wife, mother, sister, and friend, though a favorite role of hers was "Grammies" and then "Super-Grammies." She left a legacy of love behind.

I´m so sorry that I saw your obituary way after your passing. I have such fond memories of attending queensboroughnursing program with you. you had the best notes and whenever I needed some extra help, you were always there to lend a hand we had some fun times back then I wish I knew where Freda was so I could tell her unfortunately that you had passed. So sorry to just see this obituary. I went to nursing school with and lost touch and found her again years ago. Occasionally we would exchange Christmas cards she was the sweetest and brilliant woman. Such a mentor with so many children and excelling in nursing school rest in peace ann

A Mother is defined as a person who gave birth.
A Mom is a loving person who pick you up when you´re down. Wipe-n-band aid the scrape on your knee. Kiss you just when you need it. Tough when you´re soft. Guide you through the unforeseen darkness in life. A Mom is forever.
Jim, since you became a co-worker at NAVAIR Lakehurst I have come to know you and your love for your Mom. My deepest condolences to you and your family in hard times such as this. Remember, A MOM IS FOREVER!
